Sera Nina Sumbin, from Tuaran, Sabah. A music-loving small lady who started her dance passion at the age of 17. She participated in competitions such as the International Youth Folk Dance Festival (2018) and Festival Tari Igal (2019). She later received a Diploma in Dance from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). Dance is her greatest interest.
She continued to pursue her Bachelor of Performing Arts Degree at UPSI, majoring in choreography. During her studies at UPSI, she participated in various performances such as Muara Festival (2020), Dance in Diversity: Gala Show (2021), DanceBox (2022 and 2023), MyDance Festival (2023), YSD Art Festival (2023), and Brazil’s International Folklore Festival (2021). Among her many accolades are the titles of Champion of the International Igal Festival (2019), Champion of the Borneo Native Festival (2022 and 2023), 1st Runner up of Malam Citra Bayu (2023), including performed for the seniors’ Final Year Project for Pentas’20 (2020), Pentas’22 (2022) and Pentas’23 (2023).
She has also participated in productions such as “Kontra 6” organized by the Faculty of Humanities Arts and Heritage by Universiti Malaysia Sabah (2019) and Malaysia Christmas Open House by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts, and Culture (2018).
